The Appleby Emergency Response Group aims to help the community of Appleby plan for and respond to emergencies, particularly flooding. We have a team of local volunteers who are ready to support people affected by emergencies in conjunction with the emergency services.

The Appleby Emergency Response Group
Purpose: To assist residents and businesses in the Appleby area to plan, prepare and recover from an emergency. Working in partnership with local voluntary and statutory agencies to plan for and respond to an emergency situation and by the use of volunteers and other resources to provide assistance during and after an emergency.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and we are funded by grants from Cumbria Community Foundation and donations from local individuals and organisations.
